Wipeout HD Given September 25 Release Date

We know that fans of the futuristic racing series have been waiting patiently from Sony for official word on the release of Wipeout HD. The downloadable title is a compliation of the best tracks from the two recent Sony PSP Wipeout games, Pure and Pulse. Of course, the tracks have been gloriously updated with high-definition textures, and numerous other changes (including trophy support) make this an unbeatable value for true Wipeout fans. Originally, there was some concern that the game was delayed due to its high refresh rate, which was rumored to cause seizures among players with epilepsy (not good). Whether those rumors are true or not, the game is now ready for distribution, and will be available in both the US and UK on September 25.

In addition to the release date, Sony also revealed the pricing for the game, which will be set at the very reasonable $19.99, or £11.99 GBP in Britain.
