Under Siege is one of the entrants in this year IGF Main Competition

The 14th edition of the Independent Games Festival (IGF), will feature the participation of Under Siege™, the first Portuguese video game developed exclusively for the Playstation 3.

Created by Seed Studios, the title is one of the 568 entries approved by the host in this first stage, and it will compete in the main category.

The total amount of awards in this competition amounts to $55 000 dollars, which are distributed amongst eight categories.

More than 150 remarkable persons of the industry will evaluate the entrants. After this period, the jury will vote for the finalists in 8 categories. Finalists will be known in January 2012.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony that will take place at the Game Developers Conference 2012 (the largest video game conference in the world), which will be held in March 2012 in San Francisco, United States of America.

The Independent Games Festival (IGF) is the oldest and the most prestigious international festival of independent video games. The 14th edition registered close to 570 entries.
