UK PS3 developers muzzled by Sony
Despite the news that Sony's PS3 has received a release date and price in the UK, a blanket of silence has apparently been placed across UK developers. Eurogamer has uncovered that, all of a sudden, UK developers don't seem to have an opinion on the PS3.
One PS3 developer, Euthechnyx, revealed that he was under some sort of non-disclosure agreement which prevented him from talking about the console,"As a registered PS3 developer we cannot discuss or comment on the PS3 from a development angle because of our contractual commitments with Sony," said Paul Jobling marketing director.
On contacting more developers, including Warwickshire based developer Blitz Games, Eurogamer say that they have also came up with the same excuse.
It's no secret that a number of developers have been frustrated with the PS3 and many have been quite vocal about it, but Sony are obviously keen to stop anything that may scupper the European launch.
