The PS3 : How Sony can deliver the 'Killer Blow'

Sony at the moment are on a serious roll. What with some water tight exclusives, great DLC, fresh PSN with some cool features and ideas, PSP GO, PS3 Slim the list is really growing faster than I can type. \n\n\n\nI think that Sony is now is a position where it simply needs to finalize their direction with some icing on the cake if you will.\n\n\n\nI have a 60 GB PS3 with a monumental back catalogue of PS1 and PS2 games and I understand that the PS3 should be a focal point of PS3 games but I think of the Back-Cat as an extra feather in Sony's hat. However I am going to get a PS3 Slim 250 Gb Uncharted 2 Bundle [Pre ordered]. \n\n\n\nI think that if Sony pull off some of these ideas that they will be head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to overall standard. I mean there is no question that the year as a whole has belonged to Sony. Not to rubbish Team Green and Team Sling as they have done a few things that have caught my eye Dead Space Extraction for the Swing looks great and shows that great games are coming from all directions. Mass Effect 2 and Forza 2 look slick for Team Green to boot.\n\nHere are my thoughts as to how Sony can keep the momentum:\n\nContinue to push and drive with Great Games: At the moment Sony are top of the pile with the titles in my opinion.\n\nLook at adding EVERY SINGLE PS1, PS2 and PSP Game ever made via the PSN\n\nOffer PS2 Emulation so we can all play our back catalogue\n\nRelease all the Mega PS2 Titles in a revamped form on Blu Ray. Metal Gear's, Devil May Cry's, Silent Hill's, Gran Turismo's, Timesplitter's, Grand Theft Auto's - you get the idea.\n\n\n\nReally begin to push the Sixaxis as it's a great feature which has even more potential\n\nPush the PS3 and PSP Connectivity - the sky's the limit with this one - The Gran Turismo faeture using PSP as a rear view mirror is an idea I really like - Playing your PSP with your Sixaxis Rumble - another slick feature!\n\nADVERTISE!!!! Sony's latest advertisements are great as they are letting people know what a PS3 can really do - I Player, Web Browser, VidZone, Playstation Home - let them know Sony!\n\n\n\nMake sure Gran Turismo 5 is better than we expect it to be! do this and the challenge is done and dusted\n\n\n\nKeep doing what they are doing - offering cutting edge game play and innovation with the Game being the beating heart of the concept. Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Agent, God of War 3, Ratchet and Clank, Gran Turismo 5 they are all in there and buzzing like mad. These are the types of games that shape a consoles generation.\n\n\n\n2009 is almost over with some Banging Titles coming out 2010. It's almost\ntoo much to comprehend as Uncharted 2 is enough reason to own a PS3 - never mind God of War 3.\n\n\n\nThe time is now and Sony have proven themselves to want to deliver the\nbest entertainment experience and I am glad I kept the faith. Well done\nSony.\n
