The Future of Paradise City
"Welcome to Paradise City, where what happens next is completely up to you." Criterion's Burnout Paradise is like no other racing game as its an open-world racing and event game, which steadily receives additional content. This is the first game among few to continuously receive updates to extend gameplay, besides Rock Band and Halo. (If you have yet to play Burnout Paradise, we suggest spending the thirty bucks and explore "paradise!")

Burnout Paradise's recent update, code-named "Cagney" v1.30, wasn't so pleasant for this burnout racer. I personally experienced issues loading previous saved data when updating to v1.30. After searching Criterion's forums and conducting multiple in-game experiments, I discovered one workaround. Check out the boards for the solution. Otherwise, Paradise City is about to receive yet another update, code-name "Davis."

According to the forums at Criterion Games, Davis is expected between the end of August though September 2008. Four-wheeled vehicles are no longer the only vehicles on the streets as drivers can burnout on motorcycles with new bike challenges, experience random climate changes such as fog and overcast, enjoy real-time, in-game day-to-night driving, and lastly bug fixes focus on wreck issues. Davis, v1.40, is a free update and will included purchasable content to download, prices and items unspecified. A further look into the future of Paradise City will be at "the other side of the bridge," an add-on for additional gameplay on an island.

Meanwhile, Trophies are coming soon prior to the release of the Davis update.
