Square Enix Reveals TGS08 Lineup: FFXIII Not Playable

The Tokyo Game Show, which is set to begin on October 10, is to the country of Japan what E3 is to America and Leipzig is to Europe. Japan's largest hardware and software manufacturers will gather for the massive event, which combines industry meetings and open, public demonstrations of upcoming titles. As the premier publisher of Japanese RPGs, Square Enix will be there in full force this year, showing off their many upcoming games for handheld and home consoles. Today, they revealed the full list of games that will be making a showing this year, and we have translated it for you below. Sadly, perhaps the most high-profile game coming for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Final Fantasy XIII, will not have a playable demo available on the show floor. In fact,t here won't be much for console gamers to get excited about that this years TGS unless the company makes some last-minute bombshell announcements or delivers some trailers containing actual gameplay footage.
