Sony Should Add Skype to PS3

From our short time using it on the PC, we've decided that Skype is awesome. The only thing better than making almost free calls anywhere in the world would be if we could do it directly from our PS3 console. Heck, we've already got Twitter and Facebook, so why not include another way to stay connected with friends?

It is already possible to use Skype on the PS3, but it requires that users install a third party operating system like Ubuntu Linux. Only the most serious PS3 users are willing to go this far. integrating Skype into the XMB functionality the same way they did on the PSP would be Sony's best option.

In case you don't already know, the voice over IP service allows you to make phone calls anywhere in the world from your PC as long as you are connected to the Internet. Even better, calls to other Skype users are FREE, and prices for regular calls are way lower than calling with a regular phone. So far in our experience the service works great and calls come through crisp and clear. .

I'll third that. If this was incorporated on the XMB, my guesss is there would be 1 million users in the first week.
