Sony is planning for a September launch for the PlayStation 3 in Japan and North America, reports Next Generation. Release dates for launch titles supposedly indicate that September 16 would see the Japanese launch, followed by a September 21 launch in the US.
Along with this report comes word that Sony is planning an online gaming service, modeled after Xbox Live, called Sony HUB. The service will include services such as chat, downloadable demos, independent games and online play, and is expected to support the PSP as well as the PS3. An announcement on Sony HUB is expected in the next few weeks.
