Secret Agents Speaks on Shadow of the Colossus 2 Controversy

shadow.jpg

I went to sleep last night, knowing full well I would have rabid Shadow of the Colossus fans emailing me about the previous post, asking for more info. I was half right, I did get emails but only saying that my shot was fake, followed by the usual “OMGWTFBBQ!!”. Turns out the photo I was given was photoshopped, (the original can be seen here.) with the blurred arachnid added in to the pic. So, I took the issue to the secret agents and here are their responses.

Deep Throat: The image is CG. It's not real. The desert is a separate asset taken from one of their CG videos for a game and the spider is blurred and the land are specifically blurred because that's how the PICTURE IS. There's a hidden meaning.

Mr. X: Did you maybe think that the CG image used assets from the company that made the image you're posting as a CG image previs? Most companies do that before ever releasing a Previs to public."

This is mostly my fault, since the shot was thrown right in front of me with the tag “Shadow of the Colossus 2” on it and I ran with it like a kid at the candy store.
