Rumor Roundup: PS3 Games

Here are a few PS3 games I have heard are on their way to us and they sound real hot, damn hot.

Super Street Fighter 4: Bonus Levels

Ahh, nostalgia, Street Fighter 2 on the SNES. Perfecting you technique on the car and barrels. The learning curve of battering one side of the car the hopping over for some Kick, to land with Triple Dragon Punch action was a cool method of taking a break before facing the Man Mountain that was/is Guile. Seems that Capcom may have dusted off the old number as Super SF4 will come with these two bonus levels and will even be under the same principles as the originals. Damage to one side before the other and such. This game is looking like its gonna be worth the reinvestment if they are looking at it through the 'give em what they want' spectacles'.

Dead Space 2: Online?

Rumours have been circulating and it looks as though the team at Dead Space may be
looking to get you and your friend cowering in a blood soggy corner with the prospect of Dead Space going online. I have to admit, this is a tasty idea as the thought of hitting those Necromorphs with a buddy is an ACE one, Ace? That's a 90's word if I ever heard one, ahem - erm thinking about the Barrels and The Wall must have caused that? Anyways, yes Dead Space Online is welcomed. Maybe a possible load of people trapped in an open ships with wave after wave of necromorph with a certain amount of kills required to unlock the keys to the escape pod? Maybe you play right through and if killed get to take control of yourself - Necromorphs styley, yeah I like it. EA - Make this happen with DS2!!

Killzone 3 for 2010?

Another one scorching the Web is that Killzone 3 will be here quicker than you can
jump out on a Helghan and shoot him in the screamer. They have announced that the
next title would be turned around quickly as they have all the Game Engine in place
and technically would have all the ingredients in place to turn this round fast! Here's hoping as Killzone 2 is one hell of a game. I would be even more impressed if we could play as the Helghan and kill those humans.

Resistance 3 for 2010?

2009 has been the year of the 2 without wishing to be obvious. Assassins Creed 2,
Uncharted 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - you see my travel of thought, well may
2010 will be the year of the 3. Resistance is a great franchise, I really enjoyed both campaigns and I've completed each title many a time. The Co-op with R2 was my
favourite pass time. When you have a team of people really up for playing the game
its excellent - working as a unit shooting the Dennis Rodman sized Chimera, brilliant game. I can't wait to see when the thirds installment goes. My hunch would be expect to see some Resistance 3 action in 2010.

Dante's Inferno - Thoughts so far?

I have been keeping a close eye on this game as the storyline looks great. I have
heard from a fair few gamers that they weren't particularly interested as they see
it as a rip off of God of War. For me, God of War is impossible to match or copy as
it's so well crafted, established and above all has a watertight story line. So for these reasons I see this new title through a 'let's see what happens' sort of perspective. Going to hell and fighting ghastly beasts for the love you have lost is more in the vein of Castlevania for me. The fight scenes and combat system emulate God of War but don't carry the same weight and monumental ' I will crush you to death' stature that Kratos has. So let's move away from that and allow the game to be itself. From what I have seen this looks great? The Sinful places you end up going and the monsters and devilish characters that are paved before to do battle with look excellent. If EA continue with
their treading of new ground and pushing new ideas out to us - Mirrors Edge and
Dead Space show they are willing, I really think this could be a great game. I would keep an eye on Dante's Inferno as I think it could be a good game
