Ridge Racer 7 confirmed for the PS3

This month's issue of the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu is reporting that Namco is working on a version of Ridge Racer 7 for Sony's PlayStation 3. The game, which is expected to be playable at E3 next month, is being headed up by the same group that worked on the PSP version of RR for that device's launch. The game is said to be directed by Masaya Kobayashi, with the sound being done by Hiroshi Okubuo. While few gameplay details are known, it is rumored that there will be an online multiplayer mode through Sony's new online service that will allow up to 14 players to race simultaneously.
