Fans of arcade racing games, big jumps and insane stunts will be in hogs' heaven this Thursday. Two free demos will be landing on the PSN: The highly-anticipated Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and ATV racer Pure.

Not to be confused with the perennially delayed Wipeout HD, Pure is actually a modern-day arcade racer from developers Black Rock Studios. The game adds equal parts racing, flying through the air, and pulling off sick stunts in a cross between ATV Offroad Fury, Excite Truck, and SSX. Just like in SSX, players must pull off increasingly complex tricks while in the air, in order to full up a boost gauge. Boost jumps can be used to gain access to shortcuts and different routes that give players an advantage against the competition. Having previously worked on the successful Offroad Fury game, the team at Black Rock Studios are clearly experts when it comes to crafting an adrenaline-pumping offroad racing experience.

The demo for Pure will include the "Mount Garda" track, as well as a tutorial stage. The final version of the game, which arrives on September 16th, includes support for up to 16 players online, as well as four different event types spread across seven different locations.
