PS3 Firmware update 2.10 Coming Tomorrow
If you were hoping for in game access to the XMB you'd better keep praying. Though this firmware is WAY better than the last one, in terms of features. The worst feature has to be the voice changer, which is useless unless it can make me sound like Darth Vader. There's some new music thing. *yawn* Video updates is where it's at. In addition to Divx and VC-1 support (finally!) we also get Blu-ray Disc Profile 1.1, some of the features of this are, according to Ripten, the ability to use several additional features such as playback of two videos at the same time with Profile 1.1-compatible Blu-ray Discs. The available features vary depending on the disc. Also, picture in picture. So, while we didn't get what we wanted, we did get some sweet stuff, and isn't that what Christmas is all about?
