Last week, we (rather Sony) announced new hardware at the Leipzig Gaming Convention. One of the items announced was a wireless, bluetooth enabled keypad. The keypad is equipped with two shortcut keys to access XMB's "Friends" and "Message Box" along with transforming the qwerty keys into a touchpad (mouse) for easy on-screen navigation. However, at the time of the announcement, no price was specified until now.

Amazon lists the PS3 Wireless Keypad for pre-order at $49.99. The wireless keypad ships November 30 with Amazon's pre-order price guarantee and is eligible for free shipping. So don't fret my text craze generation, in due time you'll eventually have a new shiny playmate for your left and right thumb making your joysticks jealous!
