Playstation Still Larging it Among the Uber Cool
This is an interesting one. What price do you pay for brand pre-eminence? The Wii is certainly dominating the console race with sales by far outstripping the PS3, but according a recent survey of 2000 members of the UK public, PlayStation still maintains the coveted spot among the uber cool top ten brands.
Conducted by the questionably named CoolBrands council, Aston Martin was placed firmly at the top of the survey, most likely aided by some recent James Bond chic, with Playstation number six, Nintendo nine, iPod number 2, and Microsoft nowhere to be seen outside of the top 20. Does it make a difference? Would Nintendo prefer to be number one or just happy with top sales? What do you think?
