PlayStation 3 Slim Rumors

The bombshell of bombshells of Sony news has just landed.\n\nAmidst pressure to lower the price of the PlayStation 3, rumor has it that Sony finally found a way to accommodate the much sought after price-drop. \n\nPictures of a PlayStation 3 Slim have surfaced around the internet. These leaked images seem to be taken from a Chinese factory and lend further credence to what might possibly be this years big E3 announcement for Sony. \n\nA smaller build size would enable Sony to significantly lower the cost of the pricey PS3 system -- a move that has been encouraged by third party developers and retailers alike. Plus, it's hard to deny the box art for this 120 GB model does look genuine.\n\n

\n\n\nTaiwan-based attorneys have contacted numerous sites to take down the leaked images, but Sony has issued no comment on the validity of the PS3 Slim rumors. Given their long history of slimming down consoles, a PS3 Slim is a likely product for the progressive electronics giant to design.\n\nHas the internet spoiled Sony's best kept secret yet again? Sony will be holding their E3 press conference on June 2, so we'll have to wait till then to see. \n\n
