North Korea Invades USA in Ridiculous New Video Game

Playstation 3 owners will soon get another fps to sink their teeth into in the form of Homefront, coming this year from THQ. Dubbed a realistic future war scenario by the publisher, Homefront puts players on alert as enemy forces plot (implausibly) to take over the mighty USA. Oh noes, run for the guns, ammo and duct tape! THQ reportedly hired a CIA analyst to come up with the storyline for the game, which borders on the ridiculous, suggesting that the CIA might have lowered its hiring standards for analysts.

The year is 2027. The world has suffered a decade-long energy crisis, and
economies have crumbled. Reduced to a mere shadow of the super power it once

I hope the game answers the question about what they're feeding the Kim Jong family to suddenly make them tactical geniuses. Perhaps the video below offers clues:

Turns out, it didn't. But nevertheless, this looks like it could be a fun shooter for the survivalist community and the perennially paranoid. look for the followup game, Threat Vector: Iceland to follow in 2012.
