NBA Jam: 93 Til Infinity Mixtape Takes Us Back

A new york based DJ has released a free downloadable mixtape of awesome hip hop beats that all connect to the original NBA Jam arcade game, released in 1993. Mick Boogie, a self professed video game junkie and music fiend, created the compilation to connect fans of the new release with the classic game that started it all off. So he's put together and remixed a list of some of the freshest (in 1993 anyway) beats that we would have been rocking to back when playing the original game on the SNES console or in the arcade. Artists include De La Soul, Souls of Mischief, Snoop Dogg and the Wu Tang Clan. We're flashing gang signs in the office to it right now! NBA Jam 2010 has remained faithful to the original in ways sure to please fans: it brings back little details such as the outrageous slam dunks and the ball catching on fire. The original NBA Jam creator Mark Turmell served on the project as a consultant. Tim Kitzrow, the announcer from the original NBA Jam also returns, re-recording all the lines from previous NBA Jam titles as well as some new ones, such as the popular internet meme "Boom Goes the Dynamite!"
