NAMCO BANDAI GAMES ANNOUNCES TEKKEN HYBRID EXCLUSIVE FOR PlayStation 3

TEKKEN Tag Tournament HD and TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 prologue to Release with TEKKEN Blood Vengeance 3D Movie this Autumn

NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S., today announced that TEKKENHYBRID, a collection of the new full-length 3D compatible feature film TEKKENBlood Vengeance 3D, TEKKENTag Tournament HD, and, TEKKEN Tag tournament 2 prologue will be releasing on Blu-Ray exclusively for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system this Autumn.

TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, a new stand-alone fighting game vignette in TEKKEN's classic "Tag Tournament" style, will feature four playable characters that appear in the upcoming movie TEKKEN®Blood Vengeance 3D; Alisa, Xiaoyu, Devil Kazuya and an unannounced character. Each character will have a costume directly from the movie that will be exclusive to TEKKENHybrid , plus a costume from how the characters appear in TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2, which is currently only available in arcades across Japan.

TEKKEN Tag Tournament HD is a high-definition remake of the classic on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system

Set in the rich Tekken universe, TEKKEN Blood Vengeance 3D follows Xiaoyu Ling, seasoned martial artist and high school student, tasked by the G Corporation to infiltrate an international school in Kyoto to gather information on the mysterious student Shin Kamiya. Before she can make any progress in the investigation, Shin is kidnapped by an unknown assailant. Digging deeper into Shin's background in an attempt to rescue him, Xiaoyu learns about the frightening underbelly of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima and the late Heihachi Mishima's conspiracy that's stained with blood.

Created in full CG, TEKKEN Blood Vengeance 3D is being produced by Digital Frontier (Resident Evil: Degeneration, Death Note and Appleseed), with the screenplay written by Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Cowboy Bebop) and the score composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto (Ogre Battle, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Tekken 6). Directing the project will be Youichi Mouri, who directed the opening movies for both Tekken 5 and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion.

"There is no better collection of the TEKKEN experience than TEKKEN Hybrid, with a full-length 3D CG movie, bonus video content, plus the acclaimed classic, TEKKEN Tag Tournament HD, which of course includes the fan favorite TEKKEN Bowl," said Tekken creator and project director Katsuhiro Harada. "Furthermore, TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 Prologue includes character modeling and costume design that is not included in the arcade version of TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2. Bringing together a movie, bonus video content, a full HD remake, and a special prologue of the latest TEKKEN arcade title all in one disc has been challenging, but has resulted in a truly innovative and unique product in the PlayStation 3 system's history."
