My E3 Predictions and Wish List

Wishing Tree.jpg

Good Morning campers, I see that some of you are emerging from hibernation, looking up at the spring sunshine and rubbing your hands in your dreary eyes. Its been a cold and dark winter, with lots of opportunity to hole up inside and play the latest video games. But with the arrival of spring comes a whole new crop of game announcements at the E3 Entertainment expo in Los Angeles. The event is due to kick off in only 10 days, so without further ado I would like to offer a list of things I (and probably many other gamers) would love to see at E3. Some of these predictions have been previously mentioned, but I would really like to see them happen. Let me know your views:

Sony E3 Predictions:

--Those of you who don't possess a 60Gb Launch model will agree, All PS3 Models need to offer PS1, 2 and 3 Playback as oppose to 1 and 3. Make it happen Sony.

--XMB and Online Advancements. PSN as a service is brilliant but I would like to see some tweaks and further additions.

--Syphon Filter 5 or even a totally new Syphon Filter appears with all the goodness of the original Trilogy.

--Gran Turismo 5 NEEDS to offer a solid release date and for the reputation of PD needs to be the greatest game we have ever played. In my humble opinion I think it will blow us all away. GT5 looks to be a shattering game, I cannot wait to experience the Head Tracking Feature.

--The Last Guardian is playable. This enchanting game will be the one that takes our breath away. Want proof find and play Ico or Shadow of the Colossus and you will see why.

KillZone 3 LJH.jpg

--Agent, Final Fantasy, Killzone 3, Metal Gear Solid, Resistance 3, Infamous 2, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Resident Evil 6, Dino Crisis HD. I think we will get the favourites we love with the addition of some great new titles.

--Sony offer an Casual PS3 Slim with a 40Gb HD for £149.99. Think Move people, think bundles.

--Sony unveil 3 completely new titles, with one of them being a Hardcore action title for Playstation Move.

--A Splinter Cell title is announced for PS3 along with new Assassins Creed Title, Ghost Recon Title and Rainbow Six offerings.

--Playstation Premium is available as soon as show closes with normal PSN remaining free and intact.

--PSP2 makes an appearance being hailed as a different choice for the PSP gamer, an addition if you will to the PSP Go.

Xbox 360 Predictions:

--Gear of War 3 and Halo Reach are the pinnacle of the 360s show bringing the two massively successful franchises to a stunning close.

Halo - LJH.jpg

--Project Wave is rebranded and brought in line with Playstation Move, forming a much more formidable challenge between the two new features.

--Xbox 360 overall receive price cuts across the board. A surprise natal title appears which will be the platform for pushing the game.

--Server Space is made on the 360 for Halo : Combat Evolved and Halo 2, both being pushed via Xbox Live.

--Wave is for MS the way forward as they believe a common ground for the hardcore and casual is required.

Nintendo Wii:

--Wii-HD is revealed and sets the show on fire.

--Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong, Super Mario, Zelda are all in line for HD Re Vamps with all new stories to tell.

--Wii show they mean business with more Serious Adult titles making their way through the onslaught of offerings.

--Wii Online is packaged with a Premium Service.

--EA and Insominiac offer a new IP to the new, more formidable Wii-HD.

--DS reveals a Splinter Cell Title along with oodles from Rockstar such as a new Midnight Club.

Apple:

--Metal Gear Solid Touch 2 Think HD with more functions makes its appearance.
All major dev/pubs make their interest know by showing the affiliation to the iPad.

--Dirt 3, NFS, Split Second and Blur all push the genre on the iPad.

Shenmue - LJH.jpg

--Sonic, Shenmue, Condemned and other major Sega Titles show up looking fresh and interesting for iPad.

E3 is shaping up to be a major show this year. I am really looking forward to this as there is so much to look see and hear. I think that for once all teams involved with Gaming look to have something up their sleeves.

For me though I am really hoping to see Killzone 3 running, PS Move being fully showcased and a formal announcement for InFamous 2. What are you
looking forward to seeing? Answer below peeps!
