Manhunt 2 UK ban upheld by High Court
And there I was thinking our American cousins were the more prudish. Well I was wrong, as a high court judge has ruled against the original Video Appeals of the British Board of Film Classification, which gave the game an 18 certificate and said that the game was "dark and violent". According to Mr Justice Mitting, the Board had made "a clear error of law" when originally assessing the harm the game might cause.
The Video Appeals Committee must now review Manhunt 2 again using new guidelines. No deadline has been set for this re-evaluation to be completed.
Meanwhile, game publisher Rockstar expressed its disappointment at the High Court ruling. "We believe the Video Appeals Committee decision was correct and do not understand the court's decision to expend further public resources to censor a game that contains content well within the bounds established by the British Board of Film Classification's 18-plus ratings certification," the company said in a statement.

Well some on the GameFlavor team have already tried it and I'd be inclined to agree with Mr Mitting in that the game is definitely dark and violent, but then again we're a pretty twisted bunch here at GameFlavor anyway.
