LittleBigPlanet Faces Delay?

Uh Oh. We have some very bad news for PS3 owners and fans of the upcoming LittleBigPlanet. An unconfirmed rumor circulating heavily around the Internet today has LittleBigPlanet being delayed by at least 10 days, and possibly more than that. The game was originally slated to ship to retail on October 24th. A number of customers in the UK who pre-ordered the title received emails from shops telling them that the game is now expected as late as November 14th. So far, news of the delay seems only to effect European customers, but we wouldn't be surprised if the setback ends up being worldwide.

Some speculation has focused on a product recall as the reason for the missed release date. Apparently, the game's soundtrack contains a song that might be offensive to some listeners, prompting a need to change the final version of the title.

For now, we are eagerly awaiting official news from Sony, and we will have more news as this story develops.
