Listen to Assassin's Creed 2

We were big fans of the soundtrack from the first Assassin's Creed game, so we were naturally thrilled to hear that the composer, Jesper Kyd, has returned to do the music in the sequel. The full soundtrack will be available on itunes for download on November 17th, but in the meantime, we have some preview tracks from the game's soundtrack, which you can listen to in streaming form below (read more about the Assassin's Creed 2 soundtrack here). Overall, the mixture of orchestral arrangements and haunting vocals create the perfect mood and sense of tension for an assassination game. Be sure to give each of the tracks a listen, and let us know what you think in the comments below. Has game music finally achieved the same level of sophistication as that found in feature films? Does the soundtrack make you want to leap out from the shadows and stab somebody in the neck? Or alternatively, does it put you to sleep?

new soundtrack is sounding pretty awesome. Not to be offensive or anything but I found the music in the first game to be background noise most of the time, but now it sounds like it's a full orchestral score :D
