LG Shows Off 3D "Hyper Facade" Projector
Viewing movies in 3D is not only possible in cinemas and on 3DTV sets. LG is demonstrating some cool new technology in Berlin that could take 3D viewing to an entirely new level. Check out a full video demonstration of the aptly-named 'Hyper Facade' technology below. This was filmed in Berlin on September 14th. For their first trick, they transform an entire building into an R2D2-like robot, complete with beating heart. Then come a bunch of other amazing feats of 3d imagery, astounding the audience that gathered to watch. Watching this, we couldn't help but imagine how cool it would be to play our favorite PS3 games in 3D on a screen the size of a building. Hey, a gamer can dream...
All of this was done to show off both LGs new projector technology, and to promote the upcoming launch of the Optimus One smartphone. This new handset is entering a very competitive market, so it needs every bit of promotional help it can get.
