Katamari Forever Demo Now Available on Japanese PSN

Are you kind of on the fence about Namco Bandai's upcoming Katamari Forever super compilation for the PS3? Well to help allay those fears and assure you that everything in Katamari land is going to be just fine, the company has released a free demo on the Playstation Network. The only catch is that it's currently on the Japanese PSN only, so you'll need a foreign account in order to download the content.

This demo weighs in at around 520 MB in size and allows players to try out one recycled map (but now in HD!) as well as an all-new stage exclsuive to Katamari forever. In the new stage, players must roll around a water-soaked Katamari to water an arid desert. Not an easy task when local flora and fauna are getting in the way.

North Americans will have to wait until September 22, when the full game launches here. No word on whether Namco Bandai will also offer a demo to American PS3 owners, but we hope so.
