InFamous 2 Confirmed Via Twitter

We absolutely love the social networking site Twitter. Not because there is anything useful on there, but because most of the good video game leaks have a way of pouring out on the service. Late last night, another wayward tweet alerted us to the existence of InFamous 2. I mean, we all knew it was coming, especially after the first game became one of the critical hits of the past year. But now it is confirmed, thanks to bean-spillage by voice actor David Sullivan.

The actor wrote on his twitter account that he will be taking over from Jason Cottle as the voice of the game's protagonist. There are no other details available at this time, as Sucker Punch has so far confirmed development of the game. But given that progress is still in the phase of voice actor recruitment, we wouldn't expect to see the title on shelves before holiday 2010. In fact, we'd wager that's a pretty good guess for an InFamous 2 release window.

In our review of InFamous, we praised the game for its attention to detail, great open-world gameplay and replayability. Hopefully Sucker Punch can deliver more of the same quality, while improving upon the original in subtle ways.
