neo-Malthusian Manifesto

We note that on this week in history, the United Nations has announced that the human population on planet Earth has reached 7 billion, a mere 12 years after the 6 billion milestone was surpassed and 81 years since we reached 2 billion. In the context of this staggering, exponential human population expansion, we would like to present the Hydrophobia Prophecy neo-Malthusian Manifesto, which you will find attached.

Hydrophobia Prophecy, a Playstation 3 videogame set in the year 2051, follows the real United Nations forecasts forward to a time when almost 10 billion people will inhabit the world, with devastating consequences for all mankind. The ideological battle between the neo-Malthusian terrorists of the game who want to see population growth controlled and even culled and the Cornucopians who pursue technology as a means of artificially increasing resource levels is ground in existing political debate.

For more information on Hydrophobia Prophecy, which launches on Playstation Network tomorrow in the US and Wednesday in Europe, please visit www.hydrophobia-game.com. The fictional political agenda of the neo-Malthusians represented in the game can be found at www.neomalthusians.com
