How To Transfer DLC From One PS3 To Another

The question of how to transfer DLC from one PS3 to another gets asked regularly in the GameFlavor Forums. For those of you who've come across this problem, here's how.

Sign into your PSN account on your new machine and navigate to account management > transaction management > downloads list. Sony has changed their license policy so that your account is now limited to 2 activated systems. This was previously up to 5. So sign into your old PS3 and sign into your account and deactivate the system from account management. If this isn't possible then if you can't you can use Sony's remote management site to deactivate remotely or Call Sony and ask them to do it over the phone.

If you don't deactivate your PS3, then your two activations will be allocated to that device, and you won't be able to download the content anymore if this one dies.
