In this month's EDGE magazine (UK), Hideo Kojima sat down and did an interview about MGS4. In this interview, he spoke about how MGS4 plays as a game a little, then he gets into the graphics of the game. He says "Game-wise, it's pretty close to the original vision: you sneak into the battlefield and can choose whether to do a stealth game or interfere with the battle more directly. But the graphic, side things like motion-blending and the size of the map, totally was not accomplished to my original vision - to my satisfaction". So right there he spoke about how the game looked great, but not how he envisioned it. But we all know that Hideo Kojima is a perfectionist, and very humble, but he then goes on to say that his vision isn't a reality because he was already pushing the PS3 and Cell to it's limit for where he was at now. He wanted to go ten steps further, but was only able to go one, but Kojima did say that progress was made, and he's ultimately satisfied in the end result, it's just not what he expected.
