Grand Theft Auto IV Unveiled

For its May issue, Game Informer will be featuring an in-depth exclusive first-look cover story of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV.
Game Informer unveils the first in-depth look at one of the year's most anticipated and closely guarded gaming titles in its 10-page exclusive story. "Grand Theft Auto IV brings gamers back to Liberty City in this installment, but they will be blown away by what they see," says Andy Reiner, executive editor at Game Informer. "Grand Theft Auto was the franchise that defined a generation, and it looks like Rockstar is going to do it again in this first iteration for next generation consoles."
Game Informer has offered first-look coverage of all three Grand Theft Auto titles. The first two installments in the GTA series went on to become bestselling titles. According to Cathy Preston, Game Informer publisher, "We are anxious to bring our readers and Grand Theft Auto fans in-depth coverage on this highly anticipated sequel that can't be found anywhere else."
The May issue of Game Informer hits newsstands April 26. Grand Theft Auto IV is expected to land in stores for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 October 16.
Game Informer recently announced a guaranteed rate base of 2.3 million paid readers, four times larger than its closest competitor. In the recent Media Week ranking of the Top 25 Magazines in Paid Circulation (based on figures provided by the Audit Bureau of Circulations for the second half of 2006), Game Informer is listed as the 23rd largest overall magazine. Game Informer also is now ranked among the top four magazines for reaching males 18 to 34.
