At the GDC 2006 this morning, Sony Computer Entertainment President Phil Harrison gave a keynote address — as expected — and showed some gameplay footage as well as revealed further details on the PS3. Harrison showed several games, including Warhawk, Resistance, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, a next-gen SongStar game, and video for a new Ratchet & Clank game. During a press Q&A after the presentation, Harrison also revealed that all games for the PS3 would be region-free, similar to the strategy Sony used for the PSP. It was also confirmed that the PlayStation 3 will be playable at E3 this coming May, complete with a possible controller redesign — many reports have suggested that the "boomerang" controller shown at last year's E3 was merely a conceptual design.
