In a conference call taken after announcement of quarterly results, GameStop executive VP and CFO David Carlson said they won't be taking any PS3 pre-orders until more exact information regarding launch quantities was available. He added: “We don't want to do what we did last year, which was to take way too many [pre-orders] on the 360, and then under-deliver. We want to get closer to keeping a promise to the consumer." He also said he would remain conservative until the consoles "actually show up at our warehouse," although he did mention he expects to receive "around a million units of PS3 in the US."
