Front Mission 3 Coming to PSN in Europe

A classic in the Playstation library will soon be available in remade form across European territories. Square Enix today announced the forthcoming release of FRONT MISSION 3, the classic strategy adventure game originally released on PSOne will soon be available as a downloadable title for both the PS3 and PSP systems.

Front Mission 3 is a sprawling strategy sci-fi adventure which gives you giant mechanical battle machines known as "Wanzers" to command in explosive, high-tech, turn-based warfare. Battles take place on a grid-based map, similar fashion to turn based strategy games like Military Madness. Front Mission gained a large fanbase due to its complex gameplay and strategic depth.

The year is 2112. When an explosion tears through the Yokosuka military base, test pilot Kazuki Takemura and his friend Ryogo Kusama find themselves caught in the middle of a complex global conspiracy. Can you uncover the truth?

Featuring the Double Feature Scenario System, you can choose from one of two independent stories, each with its own unique characters, situations and environments. Square Enix boasts that the game contains 150 hours of gameplay, although only the hardest core will sink that much time into the game. But for those die-hard fans of the series, the idea of a portable version of this strategy classic has got to be an enticing proposition.
