Firmware 3.0 Causes More Trouble Than Good for Some PS3 Owners

Patrick Seybold, Senior Director of Communications, wanted everyone to know that Sony is investigating the issues associated with installing firmware 3.0. Apparently there have been reports of people's systems locking up or slowdown while playing Uncharted and other issues with the DualShock 3 controller.

Seybold stated, "SCEA is aware of reports that PS3 owners are experiencing isolated issues with their PS3 system since installing the most recent system software update. Rest assured that we are looking into the matter and will provide an update here as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience, as it's our mission to deliver the best consumer experience on all PlayStation platforms."

Maybe while they're at it, they can remove all those useless links to the PlayStation Store they've now littered across the XMB.
