Final Fantasy VII coming to PS3?

In the next issue of Game Informer magazine there will be details about a possible remake of Final Fantasy VII, reports ffantasy.com. This remake would apparently feature the Active Dimension Battle system used in Final Fantasy XII, complete with customizable Gambits. A technical demo of the Final Fantasy VII opening scene was shown at E3 2005, but nothing was said about the possible remake.
