Cross-Game Chat Coming in Next PS3 FW Update
The scales of online play is tipping towards Sony's favor now that the oft requested feature of cross-game voice chat is coming to the PlayStation 3.
Get your chat on. The feature will be part of the next firmware update.
"Naughty Dog Dev" ReklissAbandon let the news out prematurely when he wrote in a blog response that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will utilize the PlayStation 3's cross-game chat function. "Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat. So if players use that instead of in game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies positions."
The post was quickly deleted. And fans of the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" know what that means: Every time a post is deleted, a developer gets his termination slip.
Now, if only we can a drunk developer to spill the beans on the Uncharted movie...
