Owners of EA's Battlefield: Bad Company will get a special treat later this week in the form of a free downloadable content pack. The DLC, available this Thursday, adds a new multiplayer game mode called "Conquest". Conquest will be playable on the four maps which are currently available in Gold Rush games.

This new mode will be instantly familiar to players of the original Battlefield: 1942. In that game, opposing teams competed for flags spread around each map. When a spawn-point was captured, it would cause the tickets on the opposing team to deplete more rapidly. When a team's spawn tickets reached zero (either from losing all of their flags or being killed too often) the other team would win. "Conquest" mode will add this new dynamic to multiplayer matches in Bad Company, and it will be interesting to see how it affects strategy on the game's existing multiplayer maps.

Look for us online later this week, when we will be in ur base, killing ur d00dz.
