Yakuza 3 Coming U.S. and Europe After All

1Up is reporting that despite prior announcements to the contrary, Yakuza 3 will indeed be ported to the US and that localization is underway. It will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

Yakuza 1 and 2 were released in the U.S. but both failed to capture the GTA audiences with similarly themed open-world gameplay. Will Y3 be any different? Will Western audiences be able to bridge the cultural divide and immerse themselves in the Japanese Yakuza underworld. It's up to the fans. Votes are counted by dollars spent. One thing is for sure, Y3 looks awesome. The timing is right though since Y4 will be announced later in the week at the Tokyo Game Show.
