What comprises a great fighting game? The roster! Exactly! The roster is the the soul of the entire franchise and creates the dynamics for the plot. Basically, a fighting game's roster is the equivalent to a sports team lineup. Without the characters, what's to love about the game?
Everyone loves a hero, and everyone needs an evil to overcome. This yin-yang balance ignites the passion we have for the characters, the thrill to play as part of them, and the satisfaction we receive when victory is ours!
