Soul Calibur IV Gets a New Contender

The upcoming fighting game from Namco is already full of badass female characters. Now, the game is set to gain another fighter of the fairer sex.

Meet "Kamikirimusi", the creation of guest character designer Hirokazu Hisayuki. Hisayuki is known in Japan for his work on the anime series Future GPX Cyber Formula. We don't know much about this new fighter, except that she appears to be fierce and imbued with some serious supernatural powers. The translated descritpion from the scanned article below states that "she is a living survivor of the Japanese Demon race." Sounds good so far, and she definitely looks like she can unleash some serious pain.

Sporting an enormous spiked mace and a purple bow, Kamikirimusi is one of the most unique character designs we have ever seen in a fighting game. Those who prefer to play as male characters are going to have an even tougher time of it when the game arrives on July 29.
