Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 will be the seventh installment in Capcom's ultra-popular Resident Evil survival horror series. In its announcement of the game on July 20, 2005, the developer said that the game will deliver "an unbelievable level of detail, realism and control." The game will be a full-fledged sequel taking place after the events in Code: Veronica, and is said to be a major turning point in the series', overall storyline. This has led to speculation that "Resident Evil 5" is just a working title, just like Code: Veronica was once called "Resident Evil 4". The game is a departure from other titles in the series — most of the action will take place in a desert-like area and will focus more on escape than puzzle solving or shooting.
