Games of September

ps3-japan-t.jpg

Things are finally starting to look up for PS3 owners. With the release of Warhawk this week. (buy it!) plus Lair and Heavenly Sword in September, all those "PS3 has games?!" jokes will be a thing of the past. (giant enemy crabs will forever live on though in Japanese feudal history. ^_^) September looks like a mild storm compared to the torrential tempest that is October and November.

Week 1

Lair - Finally! It may have taken a month (well, months...almost a year) but Lair is finally here and, come rain or shine (or bad review) you’re going to buy this game! (Because it has dragons in it, dragons are awesome and chicks dig dragons.)

Rating: NA

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - For a title with such a long name, the concept couldn’t be simpler. It’s Tetris with Street Fighter. I can’t come up with a single reason why NOT to buy it. It was fun playing this game on PS2 and it’ll be fun playing it again.

Rating: 8

Week 2

DiRT - If you’re a racing fan (of Ridge Racer or Gran Turismo) then this game’s right up your alley. If you’re looking for more Motorstorm, keep looking.

Rating: 6 (8 for racing enthusiasts)

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition - Like FPS and RPGs? Buy this game.

Rating: 8

Heavenly Sword - It’s the best[PS3] release of the month. There’s no reason why every PS3 owner should be without this gem of a game. (Unless you’re out of money. Already though? It’s just getting started.)

Rating: 9

Week 3

John Woo Presents Stranglehold - It’s a next gen version of Mac Payne (to put it lightly) from the grandfather of action movies, John Woo.

Rating: 8

Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions -It’s airplanes...and stuff....not nearly as cool as dragons.

Rating: 7

Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights - Is this some sort of beverage?

Rating: 6

Week 4
Halo 3 gets released this week so it’s not surprising to not see any releases.
