Games of October

Okay, here's the run-down on how we do things here. We're only going to mention games that we know are good or games that sound interesting. That means no sports games. Why? Cause we at Gameflavor do not like the sun or exercise. (Unless said sun or exercise has something to do with killing things, then we like it.) We’ll also rate the game on how fun it is (if there was a demo) or how much fun we think it’ll be. That said, lets get to it.

Week 1

Nothing special here. Just a few basketball games. (3 to be exact. One from EA, 2K and Sony)

Week 2

Folklore - Folklore is definitely going to be a love-it/hate-it affair. (Even more so than Lair) The gameplay is mediocre but the story is engaging enough to pull you right in and never let go. If you’re swimming in cash, then pick up this unique title. It’ll make the wait for Ratchet easier.

Rating: 7

Week 3

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground - The Yin to Skate’s Yang. If you hated Skate’s realism, then Tony Hawk’s the skateboard series for you. (Not like there’s anything else on the market.)

Rating: 7

Week 4

Clive Barker's Jericho - Honestly, this game looks like Half-Life meets Elder Scrolls. Though that’s not such a bad thing.

Rating: 8

Conan - To me, this game seems like a God of War inspired game. Although, if you have to rip-off an action game, you might as well take it from the best.

Rating: 7

Eye of Judgment - The card-fanboy in me just wet himself. For all you magic the gathering fans who don’t have friends (like me) here’s a good card game (I hope) that you can play without having to pay someone to play with you! In fact, this game looks so awesome, that we’re showing you two trailers instead of just one.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - Oh how I love my furry animals. (Don’t tell animal control.) I haven’t played a really good Ratchet and Clank since Up Your Arsenal. (Deadlock and Size Matters just weren’t as good as the previous two) Tools of Destruction is looking kicking the amp up to 11. That’s right, this one goes to 11!

Rating: 10

Week 5

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - This game needs no introduction.

Rating:10
