Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion

"WOW! This is awesome!" That was my first thought playing Oblivion. The second? "Why do the women look like men with breasts?"
If that was the way women looked “back in the days” then I’m glad I wasn’t living back then. Oblivion stays true to the Elder Scrolls franchise. There’s the main quest to tackle and a plethora of side quests and dungeons to explore. However, the main quest is a little boring, being little more than, teleport here and there, talk to people, an occasional fight or two before doing it all over again. Some side quests also suffer from boring RPG elements, like talking to people, gathering items or exploring a dungeon. The expansiveness and gorgeousness of Oblivion is something to marvel at, until you realize that they start repeating itself. Perhaps I was expecting too much from this game but given the size of the PS3 disk, you’d expect more than repeating scenes. If you loved the freedom-ness that GTA offers you, then knock up the review score by 2, but if you’re looking for an RPG with a great story and character development, take it at face value.

Pros: Expansive, Tons of dungeons and side quests, Character customization galore
Cons: Repeating scenes and dungeons, forgettable story (I forgot it), no character development (due to the character customization no doubt.)
Verdict Verdict: 7.25/10
