Calling All Cars

cac-thumb.jpg

One of the most anticipated and much delayed titles for the PSN. The always controversial David Jaffe and his pals at Incog have delivered a smash hit title. If this is what we can expect from Sony’s in house dev studio, then PSN should prove quite the challenge of Live.

Calling All Cars is a throwback to the old arcade days. There’s a single player mode where you go through the game’s four levels to unlock cars but the real treat comes from beating down some prison punks with you and your friends. (If you don’t have friends, buy some. I found a shop in town that sells em cheap.) The basic premise of the game is to throw the escapee back in jail. It sounds simple and that’s what makes it so much fun. Given how complex recent games have become, it’s nice to find one that everyone, gamer and non alike, can play. If you have a PS3, money and some friends, CAC is a must buy.

Genre: Action
Developer: Incognito Entertainment
Release Date: March 07
Pros: Split screen online. It’s fun. Really it is. No really, I’m not lying. I said it was fun, dammit!
Cons: Only 4 levels
Verdict 9/10
