Burn Zombie Burn Video Preview
Double Six Games has today announced that its top-down shooter Burn Zombie Burn! will be coming to the Playstation Network later this month (March 26th, to be exact). Eager to learn more about this title, we tracked down some video footage of gameplay, which you can check out below.
Burn Zombie Burn! takes most of its inspiration from other top-down arcade shooters like Robotron. That means the emphasis is not only on survival, but on points. To further drive this point home, the game will feature online leaderboards where obsessive gamers can see how they stack up against other zombie killers around the world. You will play as Bruce, a regular Joe who is forced to get medieval when a horde of zombies inexplicably invades his suburban paradise. Bruce can rack up larger scores by first setting zombies on fire and then dispatching them en masse, all without taking damage himself. Weapons include the usual arsenal of guns, as well as some creative additions like an area-effect bomb and a UFO death ray.
The game looks like a ridiculous amount of fun, and we hope to bring you more nitty-gritty information on this title later on in the week, when we meet with the developers behind Burn Zombie Burn! in San Francisco.
